To address the economic issues that Geneva has we need to know a little more information. A sure sign of economic problems is empty storefronts. We've got that. So, if we want to fill that up again we need to make Geneva appealing for the businesses that we need/want in our downtown.
We need to figure out:
1 - what businesses the people of Geneva would / could financially support.
2 - what incentives we can secure for those types of businesses
3 - what businesses are available to be courted to come to Geneva.
This would probably involve a good amount survey taking and information gathering. One of the more important questions is: What purchases do people living in Geneva routinely leave Geneva for? Those should be proven businesses that there is current money in the local economy for, it's just going somewhere else right now.
